It's also a destination for innovative and independent producers and filmmakers who want to showcase their work to crowds of people who have easy access to stylish and trendy alcohol (like the Podcast Special in the TONY Lounge). Recently we hosted a screening of a new documentary called BRATS: Our Journey Home, about growing up overseas as part of a military family. The film is on a cross-country tour, and NWS was honored to serve as its New York premiere location.
Would you like a roll on our red carpet? Jay-Z, Rosie O'Donnell, Nicole Kidman, and Madonna have left their footprints to date. We even threw out Kanye West once. It was one of the best bounces of all time... all time.

Up first, Jackie talks to NWS softball coach Phlip Wilson and learns that New World Stages finally won a game as part of the Broadway Show League! And it didn't rain! And Mike Holmes has learned to keep a straight face... well, let's not aim too high. Jackie and Coach Phlip recap the milestone wherein NWS crushed and brutalized the "Guys & Dolls" team (who may rename their show "Strikes & Balls" in light of the public thrashing they suffered at the hands of our strapping cannons on the mound). You could say Luck was OUR Lady that night. Oooh... trash talk burn.
The TONY Lounge has a new drink special out this week, the "mini-henny." The "Guys & Dolls" team is sure to be drowning its humiliated sorrows with more than a few. Order one and you'll get to take home more than just those happy vapors.
And finally, Jackie and tech guru Sam Rivera update us on the NWS slogan contest. $50 worth of Starbucks is on the line, and they read some of the top contenders. Want to get in the game?
